The Miracles Are Waiting

For many years, I've driven to San Francisco, about 45 mins from my home, to one of my favorite churches, to hand out Fatima candles, to those who seek out miracles, at St. Dominic's, the home of The Shrine Of St. Jude. St. Jude, one of my angel guides. He has been a beacon of light in my life, through the years. I have also driven countless friends up to the shrine, when they were facing their darkest hours. I have some incredible stories relating to St. Dominic's and St. Jude. One, I'm writing a book about.

Each visit, I spend some time sitting in one of the alcoves, close to Our Lady's most beautiful illuminated statue. I find the energy full of love, peace and quite calming. From time to time, I've placed a rosary on her statue, penned notes in a few hymn books and other places, that read,"Expect a miracle." Some may wonder, why would I do such a thing as a miracle is probably very rare? With this, I say, read on.

My belief system changed when I met my spiritual friend, Denise, who has lighted many pathways, with her mission of handing out rosary miracles. I've come to believe, through many experiences, miracles arrive in many different sizes. And people are mysteriously drawn to areas, such as a hymn book, situated in a certain pew, for reasons.

Sometimes people feel a miracle is way beyond anything one can imagine. A miracle can be a gift of what's needed for a certain person, not wanted. Those with very ill loved ones, for example, there are situations when a miraculous healing occurs and there are times one's life is winding down. We are here on a timeline and then we go home, when our life is up. We inherently know this, somehow forgetfulness sets in. This lesson plays out out as we experience the death process over and over.

miracle could be that our ill loved one finally proclaimed they were deeply sorry after years of outbursts, during painful incidents and non communication for resolution. They were finally ready to review life events and incredible family healing occurred. Sometimes those left behind miss these sorts of miracles, focus only on what they thought should of occurred and take a very long while to actually figure it out, unless one is in touch with the spiritual side of living.

I incorporated the idea of placing "expect a miracle" in various places at St. Dominic's from Denise. She has literally handed out thousands upon thousands of rosaries with "expect a miracle" notes attached. I met Denise at a church gathering several years ago as she was handing out these blessings to anyone who wanted them. She gave me a handful of rosaries when I asked to take them to Fatima, Portugal. I actually handed them out on our tour bus when a few people on the bus over heard me sharing with my family what to do with them, once we got to the shrine. By the time we arrived, all the rosaries were handed out and stories upon stories came flooding in as our tour bus pulled away from the shrine. Photos were taken, rosary after rosary, placed over holy water bowls, statues, the candle alcove, on and on. It was a highlight of our journey to Fatima. It touched my heart deeply.

I e-mailed Denise a few stories and photos when I returned. She placed them in her very full scrapbook, adding to the hundreds of stories that poured in from many of the world wide rosary journeys people shared with Denise. She also began taking the rosaries to her favorite hiking trail and placed them on tree branches, park benches and bushes etc. Denise told me weeks after she returned to that hiking trail, notes replaced the rosaries with stories of healings and miracles. ( Remember, I asked you to read on?) People are led to certain places and the miracles are waiting. Denise now attaches, "Accept A Miracle," on all her rosaries, which brings the miraclestories to another level.

I noticed, through the years, when I handed out the fatimacandles, it was like I was gifting a miracle to those who were in desperate need of something to help them in their grief. The wide eyed calming looks I continue to receive, when handing fatima candles, to those before, in distressing pain and fear, always ends up with warm hugs, endless heartfelt thank you's, blessings that have been imprinted forever. It was like I gave them a miracle. I feel, when people get to a serious stage, in a critical life moment, there seems to be something missing to help them through. Maybe lack of support with their family and friends, a feeling of being most alone, especially if the situation lags on, or, perhaps, they've tried everything to get their loved one well and nothing seems to give them a sense of comfort and inner peace. This is why millions from all over the world flock to The Shrine Of St. Jude, the Saint of the most difficult cases. Miracles abound there too!

Yes, miracles are greatly needed right now as we face our changing world.

My question to you? Do you believe in miracles? And if you do, will you expect a miracle or accept a miracle?

Blessings to all,
Cynthia M.Long
